Fabulous gardens. The herbaceous borders are stunning. Lots of different gardens which are all well looked after. The cafe was good too with delicious meals( salads, quiches, jacket potatoes, soups, sandwiches and a few main meal options) plus yummy cakes.
Brilliant place to visit. Both the gardens and the house are stunning. The house, used for many a film set, including Peaky Blinders, was beautiful, and staff are very friendly and informative. Luckily the house was open when we visited, it isn't always, so check before you visit. Photographs prohibited in the house unless in the film room, but outside the house was much photographed by us. The Gardens were stunning to walk around, and it was love to sit outside in the cafe and enjoy our lunch in the sunshine ... decent prices too :-). Bbq food on offer when we were there too. Beautiful place; beautiful day. Will definitely return.
Arley is a truly lovely place to visit for people of any age. The gardens are so peaceful and beautiful, particularly on a summers day. For keen gardeners, the garden shop/nursery near the entrance has plenty to tempt you!
There is a play area with small zip wire, swings, a willow maze and picnic tables. There's also a short path which loops through the adjacent woodland area.
The house is a smaller stately home than some, but no less impressive for this. The library is particularly impressive and has provided the scene for a number of TV dramas.
The little Chapel next to the hall is worth a visit- again, very peaceful and atmospheric.
The cafe has good offerings for snacks or a light lunch, there were vegetarian and vegan options too.
Finally, the staff are lovely - particularly the very friendly lady on the front desk on entry to the hall - a credit to this place!
